Alexander Valley
Alexander Valley is the largest wine-growing region in Sonoma County, and includes 15,000 planted acres. The valley is on the east side of Healdsburg and extends from Cloverdale to the north, along a mountain ridge, to Knight's Valley in the south. Formally constituted as an American Viticultural area in 1984, the valley is known for its Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Merlot, and Chardonnay.

Chalk Hill
Chalk Hill is named for its chalky white ash soils, derived from the extinct volcano, Mount Saint Helena. These mildly fertile soils lend themselves to the production of excellent whites, particularly Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.. The appellation has over 1,000 acres planted with vines, and enjoys a warmer climate without the cooling fog that covers vineyards closer to the Russian river.

Dry Creek Valley
Wine grapes have been grown in the Dry Creek Valley for 150 years. The Valley is sixteen miles long and two miles wide with 6,000 acres of vineyards. Warm days and cool evenings provide excellent growing conditions for grapes. Zinfandel and Sauvignon Blanc are the valley's best known varietals, however, Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon also do well here and are of distinctive quality.
